Deleting your account
Your Fish account comes from your school, and it's part of the school's records, so your school decides when it's deleted. You can ask them whenever you like.
How
- Sign in to Fish.
- Open your profile.
- Under Privacy & your account, choose Ask to delete, and send the request.
Your school's office is told straight away and will be in touch. Until they decide, your account works as usual, and you can withdraw the request from the same place. If you're at more than one school, each one is asked.
Can't sign in? Ask your school's office, or write to hello@attackpenguin.com from the email address on your account and we'll pass your request to your school.
What's deleted
- Your name, email address, phone number and photo
- Your sign-ins, passkeys and devices, so nobody can get back in
- Your notifications, your directory listing and your place in your school's classes, groups and chats
What stays with your school
Some of what you did in Fish is part of your school's own records: an absence you reported, a payment you made, a post in your child's class. Those stay with the school, shown as from "Deleted user", so nothing in them points to you any more. To have them removed too, ask your school.
If your school adds you again
Schools add their people from their own records. If your school still lists you, it may add you to Fish again; ask the office to take you off.
Questions? Write to hello@attackpenguin.com. If you're at a school, your school's office can help too.
